Australia Conference Recap
The Gold Coast
We recently returned from our third trip to Australia, and while I fought the idea of going back at first, it turned out to be an incredible journey. The travel was extensive: after a flight to LA and a long layover, we took a 14-hour flight to Brisbane, followed by an hour-and-a-half drive through terrible traffic.
We finally arrived at the Gold Coast, Australia's surfing capital. I like to joke that we "suffered hard" on this trip, or we were "forced" to fly first class and had to stay on the 28th floor of a 65-story high-rise overlooking the beach in 80-degree weather!
During our time there, we partnered with four or five different churches, changing locations throughout the week. The attendees were highly receptive to our teachings on the importance and necessity of obedience. We spent a lot of time in prayer and connected with several pastors, including Alan Meyer, a well-known Australian author and traveling minister who attended the entire seminar.
Perhaps the greatest highlight of the trip was reuniting with Glenda and Les, whom some of you may know from our schools. Glenda gathered 23 people in her condo who had attended our previous seminar back in 2018.
To be honest, I previously hadn't thought that the 2018 seminar produced much fruit. However, as we went around the room, one person after another shared incredible testimonies of how God had moved in their lives since then, healing diseases, restoring marriages, and repairing relationships. It was a powerful reminder that God's word never returns void, and I had to ask the Lord's forgiveness for ever doubting it.
Following these beautiful testimonies, I had the immense privilege of performing a special covenant marriage blessing (based on Exodus 19–24) for Glenda and Les in front of their friends.
We are thrilled to announce that Wellspring Ministries of Australia has officially been established!
At least five different pastors have requested to host "Freedom Nights," which will be launching shortly. Les and Glenda will be stepping up to lead these Freedom Nights all over the area.
Despite the long travel, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the incredible things God is doing, and we might just have to consider going back again someday.
